Design
Design of a Web site consists of five steps:
- Planning content
- Structuring information
- Developing navigation system
- Writing
- Creating graphics
Before the design phase you should have decided the purpose of the site.
So why are you making a site? Do you need a channel where your customers can look up for product news? You could give your Web address on business cards, envelopes, e-mails and other corporate notices to get visitors to your site.
Or would you like to start e-business and sell products online?
One reason to make a Web site might be to offer information about your company, or give visitors information on a specific subject that is not available elsewhere. You might get your name mentioned in newspapers or magazines.
When you know the purpose of the site, you can start planning content.
